Oaty Muffins

Update:-

I have made two large muffins and added a square of cocoa+ chocolate for 2.5 syns per square! Also delicious if adding Tesco's salted caramel flavouring which is free!




My favourite breakfast, especially when served with speed fruit and berries. Great SP breakfast if using quark instead of yoghurt.



Ingredients

35g porridge oats (healthy extra b)
1/2 tub of quark or 1/2 tub of free yoghurt such as mullerlight
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of sweetener

(makes approximately 6 muffins)

Method

Mix all the ingredients together and separate the mixture into silicone muffin moulds. Place into a pre-heated oven of 180 degrees and bake until golden. They usually take around 15-20 minutes.


This is the basic recipe for free oaty muffins when using oats as healthy extra b, if not 35g oats are 6 syns. 

I like to add additional ingredients such as lemon flavouring (free), raisins (2-3 syns for a snack box), carrot & cinnamon (free) or even cocoa powder (2 syns per tablespoon).

Please double check syn values if adding additional ingredients or flavouring, to protect your own weight loss.

  2. What a lovely blog and very inspiring. I have done very well with SW before too but always fallen off the wagon and gone back to the same size as before. I know my failure was a lack of planning, so your blog is very very helpful.
